Can You Consume Different Forms of Kratom within the Same Day?
With kratom finding its way into the routines of so many of us and proving to be extremely valuable in all of its exciting properties, it’s no wonder why so many people are eager to explore as many kratom products and formulas as they can get their hands on. Nowadays, the temptation to try out lots of different kratom products is made even stronger with a booming market introducing all kinds of exciting ways to take it, like tasty gummies, fast-acting vapes and more.
But, is it actually recommended that a person take more than one kratom product within the same day? We know that kratom can offer lots of helpful effects that pertain to the way we feel each day, but we also know that taking too much kratom can come with unwanted side effects. So, is it actually advisable to incorporate a second product into one’s routine?
Is it Advisable to Take More Than One Kratom Product in a Day?
As you may have guessed, the answer is more complicated than a simple “yes” or “no”. There are simply too many factors that determine whether or not one individual should take multiple kratom products in one day. But, here’s what we can say: if you’re a complete kratom beginner, sticking with just one product type for the first few weeks of beginning a new routine is ideal. This is because you want to be able to monitor how kratom makes you feel as your body slowly gets used to its effects and adding multiple products into your routine at once can make it hard to isolate which types of products work better for you than others. Also, beginners will have a low tolerance to the effects of kratom, and therefore taking multiple doses per day may be a bit much with a low sensitivity to the alkaloids.
However, overall, taking more than one kratom product in a day isn’t inherently a bad idea. In fact, lots of people do it, once they have a decent enough tolerance. But, how two products in one day will affect you depends on a number of things.
#1: Different Dosages/Milligram Strengths
Of course, how much of each kratom product you take is going to make a difference. This applies to both the dosage (quantity of the product) and milligram strength (concentration of kratom in the product). Taking two high doses of kratom in a day is going to be different from taking a half dose of each product, which wouldn’t be that different from taking a full dose of a single product. If you’re gonna incorporate a new product type into your routine, we recommend starting with a half dose of the new product to adjust your body gradually to taking more kratom on a daily basis.
#2: Different Delivery Methods
We know that each delivery method affects us in a distinctive ways, which is why the two delivery methods you take within 24 hours can make such a difference. For instance, vaping products feel very potent compared to other delivery methods and take effect within minutes while wearing off within a couple of hours at most. Edibles/Digestive products, on the other hand, take up to 2 hours to really feel effective, and offer effects for several hours. Taking a vaping product immediately followed by an edible would mean that by the time the gummy really starts activating in the body, the vape is already wearing off. That’s quite different from vaping two different kratom products at once, in which they would both peak at the same time.
#3: Unique Strains
Kratom comes in a wide array of strains, and each strain can affect us differently. Taking two different kratom strains in one day can mean feeling totally different effects associated with the plant. For instance, some kratom products are more energizing, while others can actually make you feel quite drowsy. Therefore, the strains you take at different times of day matter.
#4: Different Times of Day
Of course, when you take each kratom product is also going to have an impact on how you feel. Taking a dose of kratom first thing in the morning and another in the evening means that the two products are unlikely to interact with one another at all. Taking two products immediately after one another means that you’ll be feeling the effects of two different products at one time.
#5: Your Tolerance
Ultimately, some people are going to be more sensitive to kratom than others, even after taking it consistently for a long period of time. If you’re considering introducing a second product into an existing kratom routine, take your tolerance into account to make sure that you’re not taking more kratom than is necessary, or is a wise idea based on your sensitivity. For some of us, one product per day is just fine, as it gives those effects that we want, and so there’s no need to incorporate more into their routine. Besides that, some people may find that two products in one day is simply too much for them.
Basically, Isn’t Two Always Better Than One?
As you can see, kratom is a versatile and relatively well tolerated product that can be modified through different dosages, delivery methods, and more. While a lot of people will do just fine with one type of product per day, some may find that incorporating a second type of kratom product into their regimen finally helps them zero in on the results that they want. With that being said, we encourage you to start slowly if you do decide to add a new product and pay close attention to how you feel now that you’re absorbing more kratom into your body on a daily basis.
Please Note: We always recommend that you talk to your doctor before taking any new kratom product, especially if it’s with the purpose of finding relief from something specific.
